Mushroom Decor Is Having a Moment, and I Get It
Somewhere along the way, mushrooms went from something growing in the woods to something I suddenly want all over my house. 🍄
And after going down the mushroom decor rabbit hole, I realized you can put a mushroom on basically anything.
A butter dish? Mushroom.
Paper towel holder? Mushroom.
Night light? Three glowing mushrooms.
Storage ottoman? Just make the entire thing a mushroom.
I narrowed my search down to 13 of my favorite mushroom decor finds on Amazon, with a mix of whimsical decorations and things that are actually useful around the house. There are a few classic red-and-white toadstools, some more subtle woodland pieces, and several things I absolutely did not know needed a mushroom version until now.
So whether you’re decorating a cozy cottagecore space, looking for a gift for a mushroom-obsessed friend, or simply believe your house could use a few more weird little treasures, here are the ones that caught my attention.

1. Meditation Mushroom Figurine
He has absolutely no idea what’s going on, and somehow that’s the goal. 🍄
This tiny mushroom is sitting cross legged with his eyes closed, looking more peaceful than I have probably ever felt in my life. 😂 The soft yellow cap and simple little face keep it from feeling too cartoonish, so I could actually see this working on a bookshelf, desk, nightstand or tucked in with plants.
It’s made from resin and is only about 3.15 inches tall, so this is definitely more of a small little personality piece than a statement decoration.
I especially like that it feels whimsical without screaming MUSHROOM DECOR!!! from across the room. It’s just a weirdly cute little guy doing his best to protect the peace.
Why it made my list: Look at him. He is unbothered. He is moisturized. He has boundaries. I would like to be him.
2. Mushroom Jewelry Dish
A tiny mushroom with an actual job to do. 🍄
I love whimsical decor even more when it’s useful, and this little mushroom dish gives you somewhere to drop the rings, earrings, or necklace you otherwise swear you’ll remember where you put.
The classic red-and-white mushroom top makes it instantly cute, but it’s still small enough to sit on a nightstand, dresser, bathroom counter, or next to the sink without taking over the space. It feels like one of those little details that adds personality to a room without requiring you to fully commit to living inside a fairy cottage.
And unlike some of the things on this list, you can actually justify this purchase with the words “but I needed somewhere to put my jewelry.”
Why it made my list: Cute and functional wins every time. I’d much rather toss my rings into a mushroom than into some boring little tray.
3. Mushroom Crystal Display Shelf
Your tiny treasures deserve tiny mushroom real estate. 🍄✨
This might be one of my favorite finds so far because the mushroom shape isn’t just decorative, the entire thing is divided into little shelves for displaying all of the random treasures you’ve collected and refuse to get rid of.
It’s designed with crystals in mind, but I wouldn’t stop there. The compartments can hold small figurines, stones, essential oils, dice, jewelry and other little collectibles, and the whole shelf is about 11.8 inches tall by 11 inches wide. It’s made from boxwood and can either hang on the wall or sit on a flat surface.
I also love the contrast of the natural wood outline against the black interior. It gives it a slightly witchy/boho look without going full Halloween, so you could leave it up year-round.
Why it made my list: I am a collector of tiny things, and apparently what tiny things really need is their own mushroom-shaped apartment complex. 😂
4. Red Ceramic Mushroom Table Lamp
Okay, now we’re committing to the mushroom theme. 🍄
This is not a subtle little mushroom hiding on a bookshelf. It’s a full on red ceramic mushroom lamp, and I kind of love that about it.
The perforated red shade lets little dots of warm light shine through when it’s turned on, while the wood-look base keeps it from feeling too novelty-ish. At about 9 inches tall, it’s small enough for a nightstand, desk, bookshelf or cozy reading corner without needing to become the main light source in the room. It also comes with an E12 warm white LED bulb.
I could especially see this mixed into a room with plants, books, vintage pieces and other slightly weird little treasures rather than surrounded by another 47 mushrooms.
Why it made my list: Because sometimes your room needs a tasteful mushroom, and sometimes it needs a glowing red mushroom. This is clearly the latter.
5. Mushroom Swing Hanging Planter
STOP. He has his own little swing. 😭🍄
This is exactly the kind of mushroom decor I wanted us to find because it’s not another figurine or shelf decoration. The mushroom itself is a ceramic planter, complete with a tiny smiling face and dangling legs, and the whole thing sits on its own little wooden swing.
You could fill the top with a succulent or another small plant, but I think something trailing over the sides would make this especially cute. It’s designed for indoor or outdoor use and hangs from rope, so it could work with a plant collection, near a sunny window, on a porch or tucked into a garden area.
Also, he looks entirely too pleased with his current living situation.
Why it made my list: A mushroom. Holding a plant. While sitting on a swing. There was really no decision to make here. 😂
6. Mushroom Ceramic Spoon Rest
Because apparently even the spoon needs to participate in the cottagecore aesthetic. 🍄
This little mushroom is actually a ceramic spoon rest, which means it earns its counter space instead of just sitting there looking cute. At about 7.9 x 4.8 inches, it’s large enough to hold cooking spoons, spatulas and other utensils while you’re cooking, with slightly raised edges designed to help keep drips off the counter. It’s also dishwasher safe, which is important because adorable kitchen decor stops being adorable when it’s annoying to clean.
I especially like this one because the red mushroom cap and textured brown underside make it look almost like a little decorative mushroom sitting next to the stove when you’re not using it.
Why it made my list: It’s the kind of completely unnecessary upgrade to a completely necessary kitchen item that I fully support.
7. Mushroom Shaped Doormat
Might as well warn people about the mushroom situation before they even come inside. 🍄
I love that this isn’t just a regular doormat with mushrooms printed on it. The entire mat is shaped around the little mushroom cluster, which makes it feel so much more fun sitting outside the door.
The rusty reds, oranges and natural fibers background also make this one surprisingly easy to work into an entryway. It’s definitely whimsical, but it doesn’t feel overly cutesy. And since it’s made from coconut coir with a durable backing, it’s still an actual doormat rather than purely decorative.
This would be especially cute for a cottagecore, eclectic or slightly weird-in-the-best-way front porch.
Why it made my list: If we’re bringing mushrooms into every room of the house, the front door needs to be involved too.
8. Mushroom Butter Dish
Butter, but make it woodland cottage. 🍄🧈
This is one of those things you absolutely do not need the mushroom version of… but once you know the mushroom version exists, the regular one suddenly seems incredibly boring.
The ceramic lid is covered in tiny red mushrooms, greenery and flowers, with an even tinier mushroom on top for the handle. Underneath is a green ceramic tray sized for a standard stick of butter. The whole thing is about 8 inches long, and it’s dishwasher safe, so thankfully the cuteness doesn’t come with annoying hand-wash-only instructions.
I also love that this isn’t actually shaped like one giant mushroom. The illustrated design feels a little more vintage and cottage-y, which gives us a different look from some of the bolder pieces on this list.
Why it made my list: Because if the butter gets its own covered ceramic house, obviously that house should have mushrooms all over it.
9. Color Changing Mushroom Night Lights
Tiny glowing mushrooms scattered around the house? I’m listening. 🍄🌈
This set comes with three little plug in mushroom night lights, and instead of staying one color, they automatically cycle through seven colors once they’re on. Even better, they have built-in light sensors, so they turn on when the room gets dark and switch back off when it’s light again.
I could see these being ridiculously cute in a hallway, bathroom, bedroom or anywhere you want just enough light to find your way around at night. And because you get three, you can spread your tiny glowing mushroom infestation throughout the house.
Why it made my list: They’re useful, they’re colorful, and you get three opportunities to replace a boring night light with a glowing mushroom. Obviously.
10. Mushroom Storage Ottoman
THIS is how you hide the clutter. 🍄
At first glance, it’s basically an oversized red-and-white mushroom sitting in your room. Lift off the top, though, and there’s hidden storage inside for toys, blankets, clothes, books or whatever else currently doesn’t have a home. It can also work as a footrest or extra seat and supports up to 240 pounds. The whole thing measures about 14 x 14 x 14 inches and folds down when you’re not using it.
This would be especially fun in a kid’s bedroom, playroom or nursery, but I refuse to pretend adults don’t also have piles of random stuff they would happily shove inside a giant mushroom.
Why it made my list: Secret storage disguised as whimsical decor is exactly the kind of trickery I want from my furniture.
11. Mushroom Paper Towel Holder
Even the paper towels are getting a whimsical upgrade. 🍄
A paper towel holder might be one of the least exciting things you can buy for your kitchen… until someone puts a cluster of red mushrooms at the bottom of it.
This wooden stand has three mushrooms growing up from the base, with textured stems and bright red caps that make the whole thing look more like a piece of countertop decor. The rest of the holder stays simple, so the mushrooms get to be the weird little moment without making the entire thing feel over-the-top.
I especially like this paired with the mushroom butter dish and spoon rest from earlier. You could add a few mushroom details around a kitchen without needing every single object you own to have fungi on it.
Why it made my list: Paper towels are boring. Mushrooms are not. Problem solved.
12. Mushroom Kitchen Timer
Your phone can set a timer. But is your phone shaped like a pastel mushroom? 🍄
This pastel mushroom is actually a 60 minute mechanical kitchen timer. You twist the cap to set your time, and there are no batteries, apps or charging involved. At only about 3.3 inches tall, it can sit right on the counter looking more like decor than another kitchen gadget.
Sure, Alexa can tell you when dinner is ready. So can your phone. But there’s something kind of charming about going back to an old-school kitchen timer, especially when it looks like this.
The soft gradient colors are what really caught my attention. Instead of another black or stainless-steel gadget sitting on the counter, you get a tiny pastel mushroom that also happens to tell you when it’s time to take dinner out of the oven.
Why it made my list: Do we need a separate kitchen timer in 2026? Probably not. Do I enjoy the idea of twisting a tiny mushroom to tell me when dinner is ready? Very much yes.
13. Mushroom Mug With Lid
This might be the most literal interpretation of a mushroom mug possible. 🍄☕
Instead of simply putting mushrooms on a coffee mug, they turned the whole thing into one. The cream-colored stoneware cup becomes the stem, while the removable red-and-white spotted lid turns it into a giant little toadstool sitting on your counter.
And the lid isn’t only there for looks, it helps keep your coffee, tea or hot chocolate warm between sips. It’s also dishwasher and microwave safe, so this can actually become an everyday mug instead of being sentenced to the back of the cabinet with all the other cute-but-impractical drinkware.
I think this would make an especially fun gift for a mushroom lover, but I would also completely understand buying it for yourself and refusing to drink out of anything else for the foreseeable future.
Why it made my list: If you’re going to drink coffee out of a mushroom mug, you might as well commit and drink it out of the entire mushroom.
How Many Mushrooms Is Too Many Mushrooms?
I think the key takeaway from this search is that almost anything in your house can become mushroom-shaped if you believe in it enough. 😂
What I like about these finds is that you don’t have to turn your entire house into an enchanted forest to make them work. A mushroom lamp on a bookshelf, a cute spoon rest in the kitchen, or a tiny meditating mushroom hiding between your plants gives you just enough weirdness without making every room look like a fairy moved in.
Although if every room looking like a fairy moved in is the goal, I fully support that too.
Personally, I’d have a hard time choosing between the mushroom swing planter, the glowing night lights and that ridiculous little meditation mushroom. And I still can’t get over the fact that someone looked at a paper towel holder and thought, you know what this needs? Mushrooms.
